After attempting to get racing started in the morning, regatta officials were forced to cancel all racing due to very high winds with sustained wins of 20-30 MPH and gusts approaching 40 MPH.  Those high winds made the water conditions unrowable and dangerous.  It should also be noted that a small tornado touched down by the launching area on Friday night which damaged several boats and trees.  As the regatta is a qualification regatta for the SRAA National Championship, the SRAA will be providing an alternative method of qualifying shortly.  Prep will be racing at the Philadelphia City Championship on May 4-5, which is also a qualifying regatta for SRAA.
